  1. 01

    The existing shell

    A 60 × 60 m industrial building, 3,600 m². Roof with photovoltaics. The shell is reused: that does not mean zero new concrete.

  2. 02

    The roof lifts

    New insulation and the courtyard cut at the centre.

  3. 03

    The courtyard opens

    An open-air green courtyard of about 21 × 21 m, with trees.

  4. 04

    The ring corridor

    1.8 m wide, on a single level: no elevators.

  5. 05

    63 rooms

    40 outward-facing, 20 courtyard-facing, 3 corner suites. Standard module 4 × 8.75 m = 35 m².

  6. 06

    The lobby

    The fourth outer corner: 120 m² lobby (programme). Inner corners: services and plant rooms.
